Boosting datacenter communication for efficient AI compute

As AI compute clusters grow, the traditional electronic datacenter networking infrastructure struggles to satisfy both low latency and high data throughput. Optical interconnect solutions alleviate these challenges but often lack true scalability and reliability. The result is persistent latency bottlenecks, bandwidth limitations, and underutilized GPUs, 35% resource loss in
$200 billion infrastructure. Zigzag optical switch reduces latency in AI datacenters up to 100 times, enabling 10x faster inference and time-to-market of AI models. Achieved through our patent-pending switching core, made possible by merging wave optics and an AI-powered back-end optimizer, both applied to optical circuit switching for the first time. Tech is developed during both founder's PhD at EPFL.
