Tuus is pioneering a patent-pending hydrogel platform that delivers nutrients and drugs at a constant, predictable rate: achieving true zero-order release with natural, scalable materials. Starting in sports nutrition, it solves the biggest pain points of energy gels: gastrointestinal distress, sugar crashes, and flavor fatigue, enabling customizable fueling from 30 to 120 g/h. Beyond sport, the same platform extends to nutraceuticals and chronic therapies, providing steady absorption and improved adherence without costly engineered systems. Tuus is an EPFL-affiliated startup led by Tiziano Caldara (CEO) and Pietro Nasturzio (CTO), supported by advisors Francesco Stellacci, Prof. Michael Graetzel, Raphaël Faiss, and Jérôme Michaud.

Venture Kick

Venture Kick supports potential entrepreneurs with start capital up to CHF 150'000 as well as hands-on execution support and access to a nationwide network of investors and experts in the startup field. Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
