Wood is rapidly becoming more important as a CO 2 storage medium. Sustainably managed and certified forests are the easiest way to remove CO 2 from the air. In order to store CO 2 in the long term, the wood from the forest must be transferred to modern large buildings, where it not only stores CO 2 but can replace CO 2 -intensive concrete and steel. Around 40% of global CO 2 emissions currently come from the construction industry. Sustainable wood can change that.
