Mapping moisture with microwaves, we optimize irrigation.

We are commercializing a microwave sensor that measures water content beneath the ground surface. We mount our sensor on vehicles or drones, and provide maps of the soil moisture via our SaaS platform. Our primary commercial market at the moment is golf courses, as they have precision watering systems allowing immediate water savings by use of our moisture maps. Water savings are 30% of up to multi-million USD water bills. The leading golf course management software taskTracker is our distribution partner. The sensor mounts on the grass cutting mowers and passively collects data without any additional labor. Orchard irrigation is the next major market with ongoing pilots and an Innosuisse project underway. TAM for golf is 1.6 billion, and at least 10 times that for agriculture.

Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
