Swistor SA is an EPFL Spin-off that develops, manufactures and sells a novel energy storage device to complement batteries in consumer portable electronics devices, autonomous IoT sensor nodes and for space applications, and in the long term for higher power applications storing renewable energies for the grid. We are developing a proprietary complete energy solution, to sell to our customers in a B2B business model. We provide customers a full energy storage solution to improve batteries in high power or fast charging cycles applications, which provides up to 10x more power, does not leak or degrade in time and uses environmentally friendly materials.

In this leadership role, you will manage multidisciplinary teams to oversee the entire project lifecycle—from material research and prototyping to performance testing—while ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and industry standards. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Materials Science or a related engineering field, possesses 5+ years of R&D experience in batteries or supercapacitors, and demonstrates strong project management skills to bridge the gap between scientific research and market-ready production.
Industrialisation Manager

Swistor is seeking an Industrialisation Manager to lead the transition of their supercapacitor technology from laboratory prototypes to large-scale manufacturing. Based in a pilot production environment, you will be responsible for setting up the production line, refining scalable manufacturing processes, and building a specialized engineering team focused on operational efficiency and quality assurance. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Process or Industrial Engineering and brings 5+ years of experience in manufacturing—preferably within the energy storage or electronics sectors—with a proven track record in line setup, cost management, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Business Development Manager

Swistor is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive market expansion and secure strategic partnerships for their supercapacitor technology across high-growth sectors like IoT, space, and data centers. This role focuses on identifying new revenue opportunities, representing the company at international industry events, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure product offerings align with evolving customer needs. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Engineering and brings 3–5 years of experience in tech-focused sales or business development, combined with the negotiation skills needed to close high-impact deals in the energy storage landscape.

Venture Kick supports potential entrepreneurs with start capital up to CHF 150'000 as well as hands-on execution support and access to a nationwide network of investors and experts in the startup field. Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
