The month of February registered some interesting rounds, including Metafuels (18.5 million CHF), L.E.S.S. (17 million CHF), and CDR Life (12 million CHF). Cleantech (38 million CHF with 6 rounds), Engineering (24 million CHF and 10 rounds) and Biotech (13 million CHF and 5 rounds) position themselves in the Top ranking for most active sectors. The second month of 2026, nevertheless, registered a decrease when comparing to the same period of 2025: in the previous year, the Swiss startups raised a total of 256 million CHF, in 44 rounds, while in 2026 the Swiss companies raised a total of 111 million CHF in a total of 41 rounds, which represents a decrease of 57%. Compared to January 2026, the amount had a 72% decrease, mainly explained by the large rounds in the first month of the year.
The month of January started with a great milestone the Swiss companies with several large rounds, including Terralayr (177 million CHF) and Oviva (175 million CHF). ICT (187 million CHF with 10 rounds) and Cleantech (178 million CHF and 2 rounds) position themselves in the Top ranking for most active sectors. The first month of 2026 brought great news but still a bit lower than the same period of 2025: in the previous year, the Swiss startups raised a total of 504 million CHF, in 32 rounds, while in 2026 the Swiss companies raised a total of 402 million CHF in a total of 33 rounds, which represents a decrease of 21%.
The month of November was a great month for Swiss startups, making one of the best months of the year. with only several significant large rounds: Distalmotion raised 121 million CHF, Flexion Robotics raised 40 million CHF, CDR-Life AG raised 38 million CHF, DeepJudge raised 33 million CHF and Delvitech raised 32 million CHF. Medtech (139 million CHF with 5 rounds) positioned in the Top ranking for most active sector, followed by Engineering (101 million CHF with 9 rounds) and ICT (78 million with 13 rounds). The month of November had an increase of 16% compared to October 2025 (from 385 million CHF in October to 447 million CHF in November), and the number of rounds was very much similar (45 in October, 47 in November). Compared to the same period of 2024, there is a huge increase in the total amount raised: in 2024, the Swiss startups raised a total of 343 million CHF, in 40 rounds, while in 2025 the Swiss companies raised a total of 447 million CHF in 47 rounds, which represents an increase of 30% compared to the same period of last year. In terms of number of rounds, there was an increase of 18%.
