EPFL’s Spectroswiss crafts advanced scientific software and hardware for mass spectrometry data acquisition, processing, and analysis. We serve the (bio)pharma, clinical, and energy sectors in academic and industrial labs globally, targeting a market over 100 mioCHF.
Our Peak-by-Peak software, mainly Python-based, rapidly handles large datasets to enhance mass spectrometry data processing quality and efficiency, supporting tailored analytical workflows. Our hardware, FTMS Boosters, uniquely enable acquisition of unreduced time-domain data from the Fourier transform mass spectrometers (FTMS). They are compatible with all, about 15,000, FTMS systems globally. Integrated with Peak-by-Peak, the FTMS Boosters accelerate access to novel applications and increase customer’s competitiveness.

Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
