Sustainable insulation panels made from recycled hair waste
Development, Manufacturing and Sales of insulation panels for Construction, Marine and Aerospace industries, using recycled hair waste combined with natural binders. Formula/process are subject to patent. 1st industrial prototype was realized and tested, thermo-conductivity performance being 38mW/(m*K), which is in line with traditional insulation materials. Our solution allows 40% to 80% of energy savings thanks to row material which is largely available and does not require transformation before being processed into panels unlike traditional stonwool/glasswool products. It contributes to CO2 reduction as re-uses hair waste instead of burning it.
Sol-Hair was awarded 1st Innovation Price Young Start-up @Rent Switzerland-22. It is for the 1st time that hair waste is re-used for insulation
