RAIIS is a Swiss quant-infrastructure company based in Appenzell, founded in 2023 and founder-owned with no outside funding to date. Its product, Saladin, is a portfolio calculation platform for institutional asset managers that sits alongside a firm's existing tools and computes everything on a single ledger, so any figure can be reproduced and any day replayed. It is built on a proprietary Portfolio Management Framework that is doctoral research.
Co-founders Rayan Ayari (CEO) and Doga Alkan (Head of Quant) both hold finance PhDs, with work published in Quantitative Finance and the International Review of Financial Analysis, and are joined by Sven Daneel as Head of Infrastructure. The company is backed by an advisory board spanning Susan Liu, Prof. Matter, and Dr. Laszlo.
