A high-tech startup for images-video-3D assets

With the increased availability of fake or altered digital visuals such as fake videos comes the question: How can we trace the origin and establish the owner of a visual asset?

Secure digital ownership also opens up an entire new economy for visual data transactions. This ETH spinoff is developing a technology to verify images, video, and 3D data for gaming and AR/VR applications in a robust manner: A counterfeit resistant signature of a visual is computed and stored on a blockchain. This approach is complemented by a novel and patented technology for downscaling images.

The team consists of experts from ETH Zurich in computer graphics, vision, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, co-founded and advised by Prof. Markus Gross - a successful serial entrepreneur.

Venture Kick

Venture Kick supports potential entrepreneurs with start capital up to CHF 150'000 as well as hands-on execution support and access to a nationwide network of investors and experts in the startup field. Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
