Founded in 2020 by a team of optical and eyewear industry veterans, we developed TAMI®—a smart eyewear frame designed for the blind and visually impaired (BVI) community. Used alongside the white cane, TAMI® enhances safe mobility and reduces the fear of injury, improving users’ confidence and wellbeing. Like all users, BVI individuals seek technology that integrate seamlessly into their lives. Design, weight, and comfort are not luxuries but prerequisites for daily use. Devices that feel medicalized or uncomfortable see poor adoption, regardless of their technology. TAMI® solves this by delivering advanced functionality in a stylish, wearable eyewear frame, creating a scalable device where aesthetics and functionality drive adoption equally.
