The month of May registered some large rounds, including Windward Bio AG (129 million CHF) and Nuclidium (26 million CHF). Biotech (141 million CHF with 9 rounds), Medtech (43 million CHF and 6 rounds) and ICT (11 million CHF and 10 rounds) position themselves in the Top ranking for most active sectors. The fifth month of 2026 registered a decrease when comparing to the same period in 2025: in the previous year, the Swiss startups raised a total of 320 million CHF, in 29 rounds, while in 2026 the Swiss companies raised a total of 202 million CHF in a total of 36 rounds, which represents a decrease of 37% but an increase of 24% in the number of rounds, which actually proves that more funding activity has happened this year, but with smaller tickets. Compared to April 2026, the amount increased by 45%, mainly explained by the large round of Windward Bio. Final remark for the 3 exits from Swiss companies: LimmaTech Biologics AG (612 million CHF), NIRLAB Forensics Sàrl (18 million CHF) and curli AG (10 million).

ICT (50 million CHF with 17 rounds), Foodtech (26 million CHF and 3 rounds) and Engineering (20 million CHF and 7 rounds) position themselves in the Top ranking for most active sectors. The fourth month of 2026 registered an increase when comparing to the same period of 2025: in the previous year, the Swiss startups raised a total of 123 million CHF, in 34 rounds, while in 2026 the Swiss companies raised a total of 139 million CHF in a total of 36 rounds, which represents an increase of 14% and an increase of 6% in the number of rounds. Compared to March 2026, the amount decreased by 56%, mainly explained by the large rounds of Kandou, Polares and Pave Space in the third month of the year.

The third month of 2026 registered a huge increase decrease when comparing to the same period of 2025: in the previous year, the Swiss startups raised a total of 74 million CHF, in 44 rounds, while in 2026 the Swiss companies raised a total of 319 million CHF in a total of 36 rounds, which represents an increase of 331% and a decrease in the number of rounds of 18%. Compared to February 2026, the amount had a 187% increase, mainly explained by the large rounds of Kandou, Polares and Pave Space.
