Robotic processes for a circular built environment

The construction sector faces a labor shortage and generates 37% of global emissions. While ecological methods exist, they are labor-intensive, costly, and unscalable.
ETH spin-off Impact.build introduces a novel robotic 3D printing method for industrialised, circular construction. The patented technology deposits dense material at high velocity, compacting it without formwork or additives. The printed structures are made from common excavated materials and can be recycled.
The startup will first target the $180B prefabrication market with mass-customizable, low-carbon, fire-resistant and acoustically insulated walls. The process adapts to multiple robotic platforms, ensuring scalability and diverse construction applications.
