Zurich-based Grensol has a breakthrough solution to transform mixed waste from the recycling of end-of-life cars and domestic appliances into a source of valuable raw materials for a circular economy.
We are building our first plant in Biberist and continuing technology development with HEIG-VD. We are not a university spin-off, but have developed our solution privately with grant funding of over CHF 3 mio from Innosuisse, BAFU and others, and supported by Stiftung Auto Recycling Schweiz.
Grensol is a diverse team with 100+ years of combined experience in industry and academia. Our leadership includes experts in metals recycling, corporate finance and materials science (ex Glencore, UBS, BMW, Magna McKinsey, EuroChem, EPFL, ETH, Harvard, IIT), and supported by experienced advisors.
