Moreover, labor accounts for 75% of production costs and generates administrative efforts such as cross-border paperwork, food, accommodation, and insurance add to the wages. Unexpected mid-season labor fluctuations disrupt operations and demand continuous search for labor.

Floating Robotics combines robotic hands, vision, and AI. Our first product equips a robotic manipulator with shears, cameras, and edge computers to recognize, pick, and box objects according to industry standards without touching the fruit. Our core software localizes thin and elongated objects like stems, shoots, trunks, ropes, and strings which is the basic skill for automation in vertical farming.
