At the same time, the self-produced electricity sector is also booming with a high demand in batteries. These batteries are expensive (up to 1/3 of the total cost for a PV setup) and will degrade quickly over the years without any capacity guarantee.
Evolium technologies develops a testing infrastructure for battery cells and a unique reparable 2nd life battery architecture. In Switzerland, the photovoltaic sector know a ~50% YOY increase, battery installation are picking up since 2022 (+118%). Globally, the battery market will be 20 bnUSD in 2030.
