Eclose is a spin-off from the Swiss research institute Eawag focused on advancing sustainable Black Soldier Fly biowaste technology. The company leverages scientific expertise in organic waste valorization and insect rearing to support BSF projects globally. Eclose provides global consulting to guide operators of non-automated BSF facilities, conducts feasibility studies to evaluate technical and business potential, and offers project supervision to ensure successful implementation of BSF systems. BSF technology uses the larvae of Hermetia illucens to convert organic waste into valuable products such as high-protein biomass for animal feed and nutrient-rich residues, contributing to circular waste management solutions.
