DPhi Space is building and operating shared satellites to make access to space simpler, faster, and more affordable. Its multi-tenant platform allows service providers (such as telecom antennas or Earth observation cameras) to fly payloads at a fraction of the cost while accessing powerful onboard compute infrastructure, turning each satellite into a server in orbit.
In less than a year from incorporation, DPhi Space went from blueprint to orbit, launching its first customer payloads aboard a SpaceX rocket. By March 2025, its shared platform Clustergate-1 was successfully powered and established nominal communication with every onboard payload. The satellite is now fully operational, serving over five hardware customers in space.

Venture Kick - DPhi Space
The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Ranking features the 100 most promising startups that are not older than five years and are selected by a jury of early-stage investors.
Venture Kick supports potential entrepreneurs with start capital up to CHF 150'000 as well as hands-on execution support and access to a nationwide network of investors and experts in the startup field. Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
The Venture Leaders - the members of the Swiss national startup team- have a clear-cut goal. They envision themselves as global players and want to take the first step to their global expansion. The ten-day business development program is specifically structured to help them achieve this goal.
Together with partners, ESA BIC Switzerland is the place for entrepreneurs with a link to space technologies in order to realise their innovative ideas and transfer technologies from space to other areas of the economy. So, that doesn't mean rocket science, but applies to multiple application fields such as navigation and positioning, communications techniques, Earth observation, materials, processes, signals or robotics. So let's see how much space is hidden in your innovative business idea! The ESA Business Incubation Centre Switzerland (ESA BIC Switzerland) is a nationwide initiative that will officially open in Q4 2016 and is managed by ETH Zurich, in collaboration with IFJ, Impact Hub Zurich and AP Swiss.
