From cloud computing to machine learning: we constantly require more powerful chips that produce highly concentrated heat. Extracting this heat is rapidly becoming a bottleneck for the next generations of computing whilst representing 30% of electricity consumption in data centers. Corintis is a provider of silicon-based microfluidic cooling solutions to enable 10x higher heat extraction from silicon chips versus conventional methods, with a 50-times higher energy efficiency. Corintiss solutions extract heat by flowing liquid through thousands of microscopically small channels, up to 10 times smaller than a human hair. This approach offers major performance and efficiency benefits to existing chips, and is a key enabling technology for future high-performance chips.

Corintis is a collaborative, international team based on the EPFL campus near Lausanne, working to solve next-generation computing challenges. As part of the team, you’ll help design, develop, and test in-house software, maintain and improve existing Python codebases, and engage with open-source tools and communities. We’re looking for candidates studying or recently graduated in Computer Science or a related field, with experience in Python and a statically typed language, solid knowledge of algorithms and Git, and a strong willingness to learn. Open-source contributions are a plus.

Computational Application Engineer Intern

Seeking a motivated computational engineer specialized in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and preferably Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT), who likes scientific code development, can work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness. Proactive candidates with prior experience in CAD manipulation and HPC are preferred. Responsibilities include conducting various 2D/3D simulations and optimizations using in-house and commercial software, as well as performing parametric and sensitivity studies. The scope of this internship is at the frontier between computational engineering and customer projects and includes the development of customer-driven features in our in-house software.
