Brian is a B2B SaaS edtech startup based in Zurich. They are developing an AI teaching assistant for schools and universities. Teachers utilize Brian to create engaging and individualized learning environments on students' smartphones. Through playful practice of concepts, 1:1 AI guidance, and knowledge sharing, students achieve higher levels of engagement and mastery.

So far, it's a completely bootstrapped startup with two founders. They have over 20 paying institutions, including large institutions like the University of St. Gallen. They have long-term contracts worth more than 100k CHF and over 100 active courses.

Startup Internship – Business development

Business Development / Internship

The Business Development Internship is a 6–12 month role where interns rotate through departments such as Finance, Strategy, Product, and Sales, supporting the founders in developing and implementing business strategies. Interns gain exposure to multiple aspects of the company, take on real responsibilities, and contribute to the growth of the platform, while developing business skills in a hybrid, flexible environment. The role is suited for advanced students with strong communication skills, motivation, independent thinking, and interest in business, sales, design, or controlling.

Venture Kick supports potential entrepreneurs with start capital up to CHF 150'000 as well as hands-on execution support and access to a nationwide network of investors and experts in the startup field. Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.

The University of St.Gallen issues a Spin-Off label under the supervision of the Center for Entrepreneurship. This label is meant to build and leverage the entrepreneurial community stemming from these breeding grounds. It awards entrepreneurship and innovation, credibility and trust, accountability and sustainability and is built on the knowledge transfer through this institution.
