BellwaldTEC is developing a new and versatile digital measurement system for detecting the 3D shape of body surfaces. The measurement principle relies on magnetic field sensors that determine spatial positioning within a magnetic field generated near the patient.

In orthopedic applications, this system enables the 3d digitization of the corrective position of limbs during palpation, as the orthopedist’s hands remain undetectable by the magnetic field.
