Bearmind is an EPFL spin-off commercializing helmet-integrated sensor technology and a SaaS analytics platform for brain injury prevention and cognitive performance monitoring in contact sports.
Our patented soft sensor system integrates directly into helmet foam, converting it into a sensing matrix that captures real-time head impact data. The platform delivers brain load and performance insights to medical and coaching staff.
Deployed with professional and development teams across 5 countries. Clinically validated with CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital).
Bearmind operates an ingredient branding model: technology licensed to helmet OEMs. Signed commercial agreement with Bauer, the world's largest hockey helmet manufacturer. Expanding to American Football, Lacrosse, Skiing, etc.

Venture Kick

Venture Kick supports potential entrepreneurs with start capital up to CHF 150'000 as well as hands-on execution support and access to a nationwide network of investors and experts in the startup field. Multiple times per year, 8 selected projects get the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of a panel. The 5 most promising projects enter the support process. After 9 months at the latest, the startups incorporate and enter the market. Since 2007, Venture Kick has invested over CHF 58 million in over 1111 projects.
