Alligator AG

Alligator AG is a Swiss deep-tech startup developing the Planar Feedthrough, a patented 800V electromechanical coupling that enables bidirectional high-voltage energy transfer between electric tractor units and trailers through the fifth-wheel coupling, including during motion. Today's electric trucks confine their energy network to the tractor, leaving trailer-side resources such as batteries, braking energy, and solar untapped. Our technology closes this gap, unlocking the trailer as an active energy resource for the full combination. Founded in 2021 and based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, Alligator holds granted IP (CH 719507 B1, PCT WO 2023/175000 A2) and is developing the technology toward real-world validation with industry partners including E-Force, SAF-Holland, and Egility.
