We are Switzerland’s major Vertical Farming business. We build and manage Vertical Farms based on circular economy to transform food systems. Our mission is to contribute to local food production, independent of climate conditions. We grow up to 200x more yield per m2 with 95% less fresh water and produce our herbs all year round, with 0% chemical pesticides, based on 100% renewable energy.
Our controlled environment agriculture technology is independent of local circumstances, and can therefore be used worldwide for sustainable, future-oriented precision agriculture. Currently, YASAI is primarily growing herbs, planning to grow leafy greens and cosmetic plants in the future. YASAI is an ETH-Spin-Off founded by Mark Zahran, Stefano Augstburger, and Philipp Bosshard in Zurich.
