WormUp has set itself the ambitious goal of preventing any biogenic household waste from ending up in the traditional garbage, where valuable nutrients are lost in incineration plants or can cause methane emissions in landfills. WormUps aim is to enable everyone to recycle their everyday biogenic waste in an easily accessible, functional and convenient manner, right where the waste is produced - at home, in the office or at school. In order to reach this goal, WormUp produces well designed small to large-scale vermi-composting (or worm-com- posting) solutions for urban households and communities. Worm-composting is a highly effective, low- tech way to recycle organic matter in a small space with the big advantage of no unpleasant odors.
