VIU prescription glasses and sunglasses unite brilliant design with a transparent manufacturing process and fair prices.
The collections are designed in Switzerland by Fabrice Aeberhard, VIU’s Creative Director. Each individual pair is then crafted in more than 80 manual steps at a traditional manufacturer in the Italian Dolomites or on Honshu Island in Japan.
By delivering directly from the manufacturer to the customer, VIU offers high-quality design and sustainable products at revolutionary prices: VIU glasses including prescription lenses are available from EUR 165 / CHF 195 and sunglasses from EUR 145 / CHF 175.
VIU collections are available in VIU stores throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; online at www.shopviu.com; and in selected partner stores. The first stores in Scandinavia are planned for Summer 2017.

VIU is seeking an Optician (80%) for its Zurich Schoffelgasse store to combine technical craftsmanship with aesthetic style. In this role, you will provide expert advice on frames and lenses, perform on-site manual adjustments, and manage store operations like inventory and product placement. The ideal candidate has completed training as an optician, is fluent in German, and possesses a genuine passion for design and high-quality craftsmanship. Master Optician or Optometrist (30–40%)

In this part-time role, you will perform thorough eye examinations, provide expert style and technical consultations, and execute precise manual adjustments on-site. The ideal candidate acts as a mentor within the team, sharing expertise to elevate the store's service standards while maintaining a focus on high-end design and craftsmanship. VIU offers a flat-hierarchy culture, professional growth through the VIUcademy, and a compensation package that includes a base salary plus both store performance and sales bonuses.
Optician or Sales Associate (20%, Biel)

VIU is seeking an Optician or Sales Associate (20%) for its store in Biel to work 1 day per week (8 hours), ideally on Mondays or Thursdays. This role focuses on high-quality customer consultations, managing inventory, and performing minor technical adjustments on-site. The ideal candidate either has formal training in optometry or significant experience in fashion and design sales, with a strong eye for aesthetics. Given the location, fluency in both German and French is required. VIU offers a flat hierarchy, professional development through the VIUcademy, and a compensation package that includes a base salary plus a sales bonus and corporate discounts.

The ideal candidate either has formal training as an optician or proven experience in fashion and design sales, along with a strong sense of aesthetics and fluent German skills.
