Electrochemical Point-of-Care devices for bacteria detection

SENSàSION is developing a new rapid Point-of-Care (POC) device for bacteria detection. The device is based on very sensitive electrochemical detection of viable bacteria. The methodology can be used to detect the presence and give information on the antimicrobial susceptibility of bacteria in a sample.

The proprietary technology was developed by the Laboratory of Physical and Analytical Electrochemistry (LEPA) led by Prof. Hubert H. Girault at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL Valais Wallis, Switzerland).
