Pristem SA (CHE-343.381.686) is a new Medtech company that combines Swiss-quality industrial know-how with next generation digital technologies to develop medical equipment for the emerging markets.
The company is industrializing an innovative medical X-ray technology that was developed with several leading research institutes and successfully tested at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). 3 patent applications have been filed for new technologies that make the digital system highly durable in the most challenging contexts, while being very affordable, effective, easy and safe to use and maintain.
In addition to targeting a multi-billion dollar market, the project also addresses a major Global Health issue: the lack of access to radiology for 5 billion people, which is two thirds of the world’s population (ref. WHO).
The company’s unique selling proposition (USP) is a combination of an innovative medical X-ray system and a disruptive business model that incorporates maintenance service, which altogether enables to reduce the total cost of ownership by 2 to 7 times as compared to existing solutions.
