A soft robotic gripper for the automation of pick-and-place of fragile and deformable objects and objects with irregular shapes. Thanks to a unique combination of soft materials, artificial muscles and electroadhesion, our gripper can delicately conform to nearly any-shaped object and provide large electroadhesion force to lift it up. This unique grasping method is a game changer because it is intrinsically safe for the object so it does not require force sensors and complex feedback loops.
