NEXILIS develops proprietary device products for fixation of implants in poor bone quality. Our Immediate Stabilisation System is the application of an implantable polymeric tube around the original implant. Through the use of ultrasonic energy, the polymeric tube is moulded into the pores of the host bone, forming a strong and uniform bond with the adjacent bone. The original device is then implanted in the denser bony environment created, leading to enhanced immediate stability.
Extracellular Matrix Coating allows coating of implants with a native extracellular matrix, leading to significantly improved long-term stabilisation of implants.
?Bisphosphonates block activity of osteoclasts, i.e. cells degrading bone. Our bisphosphonate coating allows coating of any implant surface, leading to significantly improved bone mineral density and enabling long-term stabilisation of implants.
