The clever recycling subscription

Mr. Green is a Zurich-based start up that was launched in 2010 by 3 business administration students and a mason.
Florian Blattmann, Keiran Smith, Leo Steiner and Valentin Fisler wrote "heroic recycling" on a banner, not in reference to superhero comics but rather to an all too familiar drama: a balcony overflowing with recyclable goods.
This situation, though inconvenient, was dealt with through procrastination. The problem reached such an extreme that a business idea was born.
The Zurich roommates ran an initial quick "back of the envelope" calculation and realized that it is vastly more efficient for one vehicle to collect recycling from 100 households that for each household to act individually.
It was then that the concept of Mr. Green was established: a professional superhero that would implement a simple program to punctually and sustainably manage the recycling of Zurich households.
"We want Mr. Green to elevate recycling to superhero status and make a sustainable contribution to Zurich. The issue of correctly dealing with of recyclable material is an emotional one for us. We work only with experts that can draw on real experience and offer true know how", said the founders in unison, by now true heroes themselves.

In the future, Mr. Green will try to add additional social value by building new partnerships: www.social-mr-green.ch
