Visual Danger Detection for Autonomous Ropeways.

Mantis is a Zurich-based start-up in the winter sports segment. We build AI-driven camera systems that enable ski resorts to run their chairlifts and gondolas autonomously. Mantis is able to detect dangerous situations during boarding and offloading of ropeways and stop them if required. This is cheaper and more reliable than a human operator and mitigates the rising issue of staffing shortage.
