Global ID SA

Global ID SA has the mission of bringing to market and of growing sales of vein-based biometric authentication products and services.
The products and services stem from research by inventors at three major research institutes of Romandie, the LASEC (EPFL, Lausanne), the IDIAP (EPFL, Martigny), and HES-SO Valais (Sion). The research has generated three patents, for biometry, for encryption, and for data privacy.
The products consist of software and of hardware in the form of a finger scanner, industrialised with the support of the CSEM (Neuchâtel). The services consist of software licences or SaaS and IP-related engineering for integration.
Sales to organisations are partner-leveraged and direct in the case of original equipment manufacturers (software or hardware OEMs).
