Technology which is capable of capturing CO2 from ambient air.

Climeworks has developed an ecologically and economically attractive method to extract CO2 from ambient air. Our goal is to deliver CO2 for the production of synthetic liquid fuels (synfuels) from renewable energy sources and water. This enables efficient storage of renewable energies and a carbon-neutral fuel supply for the transportation sector. An interesting short-term application for our technology is the extraction of CO2 from the air inside residential buildings and meeting rooms. This allows for substantial reduction in air circulation and corresponding energy requirements inside the building.
